Germ. philologist & couch pope supreme Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche;  & to be honest,  while vexingly perplexing &/or bemusing,  not terribly offensive,  at least not to an ancient Roman,  in sofar as ancient Romans would probably reply,  “pray tell,  which god?”
