There were almost as many counter-protesters as Golden Dawn members. When the police eventually showed up, they mostly harassed those protesting the Golden Dawn’s. Despite the hospital administrator’s & a local prosecutor’s attempts to actually negotiate with the Golden Dawn, the medical staff prevailed & the Golden Dawn members were finally turned away. The Golden Dawn is also organizing amongst Greek immigrant communities in Canada & the US & the UK & in Australia.
