LATIN: “Deus mortus est.”  ‡‡

‡‡ ) “God is dead.”   an odd phrase, & reverse-engineered translation of the phrase by 19th. C. Germ. philologist & couch pope supreme Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche;  & to be honest,  while vexingly perplexing &/or bemusing, not terribly offensive,  at least not to an ancient Roman,  in sofar as ancient Romans would probably reply,  “pray tell,  which god?”
