‡‡)  Lit.,  the Bad Times    the Irish Potato Famine    see above;  also,  may more or less commonly refer to the Cat-licker/Protsky civil wars in Northern Ireland & some of the collateral damage in other parts of the UK,  dating from the 1970s through to the 1990s.
