NOTE: “Telo” is Argentina’s equivalent to Japanese love hotels, w/ rooms rented by the hour for morning or noon or afternoon delight ; Argentina, as Japan, has a premium on living space... & w/ 20-somethings often still living w/ their parents, a “Telo” is preferable to the back seat of a car. & of course clientele includes yr garden variety adulterers & philanderers. The future of the TELO may be in doubt, due to self-isolation, or there may be a rennaissance of debauchery. The Argentine slang seen here is the Spanish equivalent of the French street argot known as Verlan....
