   §  )    “I fuck yr Golden Dawn.”  NOTE:  The People’s Association, a.k.a., the Golden Dawn, is a resurgent Greek neo-fascist organisation with roots in the Nazi occupation of Greece, & the Greek military coup of the late 1960s ;  the org. disavows its Nazi & fascist leanings & roots while simultaneously fomenting anti-immigrant violence throughout Greece & worshiping & fetishising Ioannis Metaxis — the Nazi fuck-puppet who ran Greece during W.W. II  [sincerest apologies to any fuck-puppets who take offense by the comparison].  Since the global financial melt-down of 2008, & the ongoing economic crisis in Greece & the E.U./World Bank imposed austerity measures, the Golden Dawn has gained many seats in local & regional & national Greek legislative bodies.  Their most recent stunt was orchestrated at various hospitals during a national Greek Red Cross blood drive at the end of Apr., 2013.  Trying to use a loophole that allows sports organisations to give blood & have it kept in special blood banks for any emergencies involving athletes, the Golden Dawn appeared en-masse at hospitals & at least one hospital were met by the entire medical staff who refused to accept their donations, & demanding they leave—on the grounds that what the Golden Dawn sought was not only a violation of medical ethics, esp,. since they were being adamant about only Greeks getting the blood, but by their actions—shouting racist slogans & creating a near riot situation—they were disturbing patients. There were almost as many counter-protesters as Golden Dawn members. When the police eventually showed up, they mostly harassed those protesting the Golden Dawn’s. Despite the hospital administrator’s & a local prosecutor’s attempts to actually negotiate with the Golden Dawn, the medical staff prevailed & the Golden Dawn members were finally turned away. The Golden Dawn is also organizing amongst Greek immigrant communities in Canada & the US & the UK & in Australia.
