NOTE: These various slogans date from the summer & fall 2018 protests against Putin’s raising the age for retirement & pension eligibility, which he did after years & years & years of resisting the IMF’s suggestions on this. The proposal was for to raise the retirement age for women from 55 to 63, & for men from 60 to 65. The average life span for women is 77, & for men 66…but as low as 62 or 58 in outlying regions of the Russian Federation. Essentially men stand a good chance of never seeing their pension, or at best getting it for a year.. . These were organized by the Labor Federation of Russia, & various anarchist & socialist grps, as well as monarchist/nationalists, libertarians, & the KPRF (the Russian Federation Communist Party. These various groups seldomly protested together, & tended to hold competing demonstrations. There were few arrests in Moscow, where the demonstrations were larger, but hundreds, even thousands, of arrests in St. Petersberg & smaller cities & towns. Despite the fact that 89% of the country hated this, it was passed by the Duma on 27 Sept, 2018…
