The publishers of Charlie
Hebdo have always been
equal opportunity offenders, esp. in matters of religion, sex &
politics. Several yrs back they
declared that a certain Prophet of the Books would be guest editor; for that
their offices were firebombed. & the French constantly had 2 police on the
premises. Apparently, ISIS sent 3 avengers who killed 10 people at the offices
yesterday (including 2 French policemen). The assassins proclaimed the usual
inane tautologies, “Allah is great,” und so weiter. The editor, holding up a magazine with an
offending cartoon had said that he’d never self-censor, that he’d rather die
with his head held high than live on his knees. US editors & “news” outlets
have couragously cropped the photo so that no one can get a context. Thus is
life in the Moronic Inferno. NOTE: An Islamic scholar on Wed. night pointed out
that the Prophet was insulted many times, & did not retaliate by
pronouncing a fatwah or death sentence upon the person.
