mon., 23 may, 2016: japanese frenemy field guide, i.: give us This Day our Daily Curse

JAPANESE:  疫病神 / やくびょうがみ— Yakubyougami...   §

§)  Yakubyougami...  Lit., “Pestilence God...” Note: A Yakubyougami is an odious pain in the arse & annoyance;  never a friend,  & never quite worth the energy of labeling as an enemy.  In short,  a frenemy.  When you see them coming,  cross the street when you can...   & when you can’t,  well,  put up w/ them for a few moments & then make any fucking excuse you possibly can,  smile,  shake hands,  smile,  & bow & tug yr forlock,  smile,  & excuse yourself,  smile,  & run,  fool,  run.
