   ‡ )   “I  [too]  am a Jew” — placard worn by many French Muslims during a Parisian mass protest in honor of & in solidarity with the Jewish victims of a murderous attack at a Parisian Kosher market that had immediately followed the assassination of ten staff members of  the French satiric magazine Charlie Hebdo late last week.  NOTE: Not only do US editors & “news” outlets continue to couragously crop or blur any controversial images from the pages of Charlie Hebdo, but they have given very little coverage to the French Muslims who are as sick of the Jihadist shite as everyone else, & continue to demand that Muslims unequivicably denounce & renounce Islamic terrorism. Are we in year 100 of a 200 yr war?   World War I began in July, 1914.  Most of the problems of the Middle East & the Muslim world can be traced not only to the collapse of the Ottoman Empire & the enormous losses suffered by Muslims in African & Middle Eastern colonies run by the French or English or German  —  70% of total casualties in W.W. I,  & to the raw deal that Palestinians & others got during the Balfour Declaration.

   ‡ )   “Vote arsehole, because you have no other choice...”  /  “Vote arsehole, because you have no other choice...”  [Literally, “Vote Cunt, because you have no other choice...”]  A vintage caption & headline fr. the fearless French satiric magazine Charlie Hebdo, circa 1971.  The publishers of  Charlie Hebdo have always been equal opportunity offenders, esp. in matters of religion, sex & politics.  Several yrs back they declared that a certain Prophet of the Books would be guest editor; for that their offices were firebombed. & the French constantly had 2 police on the premises. Apparently, ISIS sent 3 avengers who killed 10 people at the offices yesterday (including 2 French policemen). The assassins proclaimed the usual inane tautologies, “Allah is great,” und so weiter. The editor, holding up a magazine with an offending cartoon had said that he’d never self-censor, that he’d rather die with his head held high than live on his knees. US editors & “news” outlets have couragously cropped the photo so that no one can get a context. Thus is life in the Moronic Inferno. NOTE: An Islamic scholar on Wed. night pointed out that the Prophet was insulted many times, & did not retaliate by pronouncing a fatwah or death sentence upon the person.
